Energy: the easier or the best?

The preference of companies and institutions - according to my experience providing consultancy related to energy - is, by far - searching for the easiest solutions such as:

* Automatically extend contracts
* Propose solutions that do not involve much effort
* Ask potential suppliers to suggest what to do
* Focus on details of the solutions to present them "ready made"
* Privileging themes that are ostensibly "in fashion"

But - of course - the best is usually quite different!

* Discover the boundary condition that solutions need to meet
* C level to create a strategy and management an operational plan
* Explore how to make solutions feasible
* Identify the technical, financial, legal and management issues at stake
* Call potential suppliers knowing in advance what you want

If the idea is achieving and maintaining excellent results it is necessary to have the courage, boldness and detachment to choose the best!
