Distributed Energy Resource (DER) to grow massive 217 GW through 2028

US distributed energy resource capacity will grow by 217 GW through 2028 Wood Mackenzie forecasts. DER is 70% of forecasted generation additions during the period. Curtailment-based resources such as flexible EV charging and building automation systems will account for half of the 217GW;  solar and storage the other half.
