[UPDATE Jan 16, 2024] The group had an engaging discussion on 1/15 that led to a consolidation of use cases and some updated language. We heard "ground truth" from Texas entities using NAESB data communication protocol standards to exchange market data, operating since 2002 and is still going, processing about 1 million transactions weekly. Ground truth is valuable at understanding the current situation.
Today, NAESB is hosting another meeting to discuss Cybersecurity practices for the energy transition relating to secure data communications, as part of an annual plan item for 2025. We will be discussing specific use cases under consideration and recommendations from a white paper submitted to the PA PUC on this topic.
Looking forward to seeing friends and colleagues at this meeting to discuss cybersecurity practices of interest within the energy transition.
