I'm interested to see the longterm impact of using the DPA to create more domestic manufacturing. That's the long-standing play here,  I think

This is a difficult one, because cheaper solar panels are in the interest of the consumer, and would incentivise mor takeup,  but of course as the article says, hit US manufacturers of photovoltaics, so presumably reducing profits and jobs.  I wonder if there's an analysis of the costs v. the benefits?
