Alessandro Bacci is a Senior Research Analyst (Legal) with S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in London, UK, he monitors legal/regulatory and fiscal developments relevant to the upstream industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and he participates in consulting projects requiring upstream legal/regulatory and fiscal expertise. In addition, part of Alessandro’s activity is currently dedicated to examining and evaluating the utilization of tax incentives for spurring the reduction in carbon emissions in the upstream sector (for example, via carbon capture utilization and storage). Alessandro has a background as upstream fiscal analyst on a global scale and upstream legal/fiscal consultant primarily in relation to the MENA. He holds an LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Florence, Italy; a Master in Public Affairs from Sciences Po, France; and a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore. Besides, in 2022 he is currently completing the MSc in Taxation at the University of Oxford (Harris Manchester College, UK).
