Heading for Hydrogen

"Blue hydrogen" is produced from fossil fuels (typically natural gas, but also coal). But it depends on CCS. So:  Without CCS, there is no Blue Hydrogen. 

It is always difficult to tell if the Oil&Gas industries are serious about using their capital and their expertise to move in new directions, or just waiting for the next windfall from higher crude prices. Is hydrogen just another "flavor of the month"?
