Energy: lessons learned this year

My consulting activity has changed a lot in 2020r. Like so many other activities, it tended to virtual work.

It was really interesting!

In place of the traditional posture of prospecting information on the spot, analyzing it, modeling alternatives and then helping the client in his decision-making process, this year I "migrated" my work to essentially internalize knowledge so that the client could walk his way!

And so I was able to deliver most of my consulting remotely.

But there is an aspect that requires a face-to-face part. Visiting the clients, seeing their operations, talking to those who take care of production activities, getting to know the energy management systems, identifying the main electrical loads, the other sources that eventually make up the portfolio and, above all, talking to upper managers informally.

With the prospect of mass vaccination, I see the possibility of evolving the consultancy adding the learning of this very tough year of 2020, consolidating the virtual part and valuing the face-to-face part, which is also super important.
