The Brazilian power sector needs focus!

We have a dilemma in Brazil (hidden, of course).

On the one hand, initiatives that improve the cost and price models in the free market, such as the implementation planned for 2021 of the hourly PLD (in simple language, "spot" price per hour).

On the other hand, a list of important problems that have a strong influence on costs - which all consumers pay - has been "cooking" for many years, with no solution.

This situation reflects a lack of quality of the official leadership in the power sector. Whether from directors or board members of institutions such as the power clearing house , the official research and development company, the independent system operator, the regulators, the ministry of energy and the list goes on and on.

The wide-open fact that reflects this dilemma is that Brazil is the isolated laggard in USD/MWh of power cost as compared to the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) for example.

When will we wake up?
