Petrobras: private or public?

This question has come up more frequently in recent years.

When the price of oil is high, criticisms arise indicating the need to place a ceiling, despite the established criterion of parity with the international price.

When the market price plummets or the Government decides to set a different price (higher in this case) then it is the Brazilians who have to bear them and pay for the difference.

This conflict occurs because the treatment that our constituted powers give to this company is confusing and political. To the taste of the demands of the moment.

The best thing for the country - in my opinion - would be to really privatize the company and open the market to actual competition. While this "novelty" does not happen  we will always be at the mercy of "political decisions" and all the associated harmful consequences.
