Energy companies have to ensure that their large complex grids operate at peak efficiency every day. Maintaining the physical infrastructure often requires a great deal of manual labor, for tasks, like inspecting and maintaining grid equipment. A new approach, mobile robots, is in an early stage of development and has the potential to automate those manual processes.
