The desire to automate more manual field work is expected to continue as TinyML devices gain traction, according to ABI Research. The special purpose microprocessors feature sufficient processing power and intelligence that they are able to take on routine field maintenance functions. Potential task that they could assist with include device anomaly detection, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
