Monitoring the physics of the process sensors has demonstrated benefits for cyber security, productivity, process safety, and predictive maintenance. Ransomware and IT malware target IT and OT Internet Protocol networks. Consequently, monitoring the sensors off-line from the IT and OT networks can provide a view of the process independent from the OT networks that can be compromised by ransomware. Too often, companies have shut down their operating facilities following ransomware attacks due to an “abundance of caution” because they do not know what is happening to their control systems and then relying on business interruption insurance to make up for the shutdown. Sensor monitoring provides a capability to know what is happening with the control systems regardless of what is happening with their IT or OT networks. As such credit rating agencies may take a “dim view” of the impact to the bottom line and insurance companies may not pay business interruption insurance when the organization arbitrarily shuts their operations down from an “abundance of caution”.

With more connectivity comes greater risk. As the adoption of industrial automation and IoT grows in your organization so does your cyber attack surface area. IT/OT SOC provides a thorough, proactive model, integrating IT and OT security centers for a singular, real-time view of your security posture. It operates as a centralized managed service to monitor and protect the availability and integrity of these business-critical systems for a fault-free operation.
