As we enter this new decade of 2020 with bright eyes and renewed vigor, more so than ever before our businesses’ asset operators need a clear way to understand what lies ahead. Will advanced asset analytics continue to offer deeper insight into failures that threaten our valuable assets? To protect our assets and deliver on this growing need for advanced analytics, we have to wonder what does the future of asset analytics hold.
Historically, when it came to predicting the future for an asset we relied on our human physical sensors of hands, ears, nose and eyes. What did this particular asset feel, sound, smell and look like? Today and tomorrow with the advances in technology, manufacturing, and expectations we have a chance to implement systems and methods that will deliver significant step changes in early warning and asset condition monitoring.
