EVs: Brazil x developed countries
Participating in events related to electrical infrastructure to meet the demand generated by electric vehicles, I noticed an important difference between the countries in the forefront and Brazil.
There is a perception of the enormous challenge of making the necessary infrastructure available - in time - so that the millions of electric vehicles can be charged in their daily lives.
It is more than internalized in these countries, that it is a question of many billions of dollars in investments so that the charging stations are sufficiently widespread, so that it is possible to move around with the peace of mind that there will be enough stations.
In these events, executives from the electricity sector in the United States, Canada and Europe, admit that the next 3 years will be crucial to face this issue of the infrastructure of electricity power grid and charging stations.
And us here in Brazil? Shall we, as always, improvise? And, of course, delay the implementation of the necessary solutions?
