US industrial energy use hit its lowest mark since April 1987, according to the US Energy Information Association (EIA). Overall, energy use dropped by 4% in April compared to 2019 numbers. Commercial use dropped by 11% and industrial use was down 9%. The residential market was the only good news with an 8% increase. The changes stemmed from the Covid 19 pandemic.
