Climate change: Challenges to decarbonizing the power grid

“The evolution of the grid certainly needs to move at this pace of climate change.” However, Maine lawmakers have done more than delay the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) corridor project.  Voters chose to block the construction of the transmission corridor, across 150 miles that would connect hydropower to energy customers.  How will Mainers decarbonize the grid and what does this mean for NECEC?
