Can we achieve standardization of inverter models to achieve a rotator-free network across the utility industry?

I have a question about the use of power electronics: inverter-based resources will inform and stabilize the grid and protect the infrastructure in the future. Inverters from different manufacturers require generic inverter models, enabling standardization to achieve a rotator-free network across the industry. Can we achieve this?
