This is a sobering image, and backed by real research. I suggest everyone follow the link and take the time to not just react to the image, but actually read the text that goes with it. It will take you 10 minutes or so, but it worth it to understand where the world is at and where it going.

This is a really compelling visualization for the numbers. I'd love to see this used to look at various organizations' forecasts, as well as different scenarios (e.g., EIA's Annual Energy Outlook base case and side cases)!
