Entergy Texas receives approval to build a cleaner, more reliable power station in Southeast Texas

This week Entergy Texas announced two important efforts to strengthen the company's future energy resources. First, on Tuesday (November 28), the company announced that the Public Utility Commission of Texas had approved Entergy Texas’ proposal to build the Orange County Advanced Power Station, a 1,215-megawatt combined cycle power facility near Bridge City, Texas. Second, on Thursday (December 1) the company announced they recently issued a request for proposals (RFPs) for 2,000 megawatts of solar and wind generation resources.
