Though solar has expanded at a breakneck speed in China and achieved record installed capacity status in 2017, things are slowing down in the People's Republic of China. In addition, government subsidies are declining and manufacturers may feel the pressure of declining exports in one of the biggest markets for Chinese solar produts; the United States. With tariffs imposed earlier in the year, flow of Chinese solar into the U.S. is also slowing. What type of year will it be in 2018 for Chinese solar installed capacity and for Chinese exports to the United States?
