Enel Foundation once again shows its steadfast support to Innovation for Change (I4C), as Knowledge Partner of the Italian impact innovation program built on the collaboration between companies, institutions, and non-profit organizations.

Born from a collaboration between Collège des Ingénieurs ItaliaPolitecnico di Torino, and IdeaSquare, the experimental innovation department of CERN, I4C aims to create scalable ideas and innovative solutions to respond to the global challenges affecting our planet.

I4C believes that our future depends on our ability to being contaminated by ideas and inputs coming from different perspectives, thus it wants to break the insulation that often characterizes different environments, stimulating alternative processes that start right from the participants’ own different backgrounds. By challenging and collaborating with each other, these differences generate unexpected, non-conforming ideas. In brief, innovation becomes disruptive.

Following the launch of the sixth edition at the auditorium of Scuola Holden in Turin on February 26, 60 young talents divided into 8 teams started working on the sustainability challenges presented by the partners of I4C, aiming to produce innovative and scalable business ideas and practical solutions. This year, the multidisciplinary approach, which has always characterized the program, is further strengthened by integrating the managerial (MBA), technical-scientific (PhD students), and communication (Scuola Holden) skills of the various participants.

Each year, together with Enel Foundation and Agnelli Foundation, another eight partners support the program, companies, and institutions that present a sustainability challenge inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG goals). The Partners who launch the challenges this year come from industry, finance, public administration, and international cooperation: EnelAGCArduinoBanca Mediolanum,  CNH IndustrialDSMThe Italian Ministry of Justice, and RAI Way.

Over the next four months, participants will work in teams to propose their solution to these challenges and present the results at a demo day at CERN in Geneva on June 28, 2021.
