Ready or not, surging electricity demands are stressing the grid.  Xcel in Denver says they’re preparing the grid now to meet the upcoming demands of buildings and electric vehicles.  "New loads will require a coordinated effort across generation, transmission and distribution," said an Xcel spokesperson. The utility is confident that their load management plans will prevent the system from becoming overtaxed.  Is your utility ready or not?
