What 'transition'? Renewable energy is growing, but overall energy demand is growing faster
This feels obvious to me, but it is still shocking when we consider the reports of 800GW worth of renewable energy ready to go but queued up waiting for a grid connection in the U.S. alone. According to this article, 800GW is 8 years worth of global electricity demand increase. Now, connecting that that to the grid will not allow it reach other nations—we need batteries and mobile storage to do that. But the point remains. Renewables will benefit us at the pace our power delivery infrastructure advances.
