A Pending Energy Shortfall?
Available energy may become a problem for grid operators in the coming months. The US experienced higher than expected temperatures in many areas, especially along the East Coast, increasing demand. In addition, utilities encountered significant delays in bringing new solar sources online, according to the US Energy Information Administration. The two factors may cause energy companies to revamp their plans for moving away from fossil fuel sources to clean energy during the coming months.
