Nuvve announces V2G charging hubs and TaaS for future EVs - Electrek
Vehicle to grid (V2G) specialists, Nuvve announced plans to implement charging hubs and offer Transportation as a Service (TaaS).
Nuvve, a San Diego company that specializes in vehicle-to-grid technology, recently unveiled a concept it thinks will make it easier for utilities to adopt their distribution grids to electric vehicles.
The company plans to roll out V2G charging hubs, which it thinks will be easier for utilities to deal with than numerous individual EV chargers with V2G capabilities because the hubs will require utilities to upgrade their grids to handle increased load and two-way power transmission in fewer places than individual chargers would.
"The fact that Nuvve has decided to not just implement V2G capabilities in fleet vehicles but to also develop, build, and manage charging hubs may prove very wise for the company," Electrek said.
