For customers across the country, the COVID-19 pandemic was a stressful time in wondering how they might pay their power bills, and the utility industry did the right thing to step up and ensure people who were struggling financially were able to keep the lights on. In the meantime, though, smart people within the power sector were realizing an opportunity to find new opportunities to reduce customer bills, including the concept of an energy Happy Hour. Framing and branding demand side load management shifts like this will be critical, so I’m curious to hear what you think about this initiative.
