Bitcoin mining operations shut off power during the recent grid stress in Texas. So did other major energy users, a move that was celebrated by Texas officials in their review of how the grid handled the most recent demand surge. However, if major power users are going to have to continue to shut down, that means much work remains toward grid stability in this rapidly growing state.Â
