Even during COVID-19, Battery Energy Storage systems economically make sense now and in the long term, including lowering carbon emissions.

Kruger Inc's Brampton facility is running 24/7 even during the coronavirus pandemic so they see energy storage as a huge cost savings benefit. A very good article on what Powin Energy and Sungrid have done for Kruger, plus other Ontario battery energy storage companies that are making a difference to our climate change.

It's an interesting thought-- I think energy storage for today and in the future typically gets discussed in the context of grid-wide storage or smaller installations (i.e. at home), but the industrial sector could see the most benefits from this (similar to how industry is a leader in TOU, DSM, etc.)
