This fall we got to present on what we see as the future of energy modeling, faster, more accurate, more automated. As an industry, we've too long relied on the idiosyncratic decisions of individual energy modelers, and not done enough to routinize and automate our analysis. Weidt, along with PNNL presented a vision for how to validate automated energy modeling tools. If we want to match the right technologies to buildings to meet our climate and energy efficiency goals, we need more modeling at a lower cost, and automated modeling can do that for us.
