PACE is a powerful program in America to allow businesses and individuals to directly confront climate change. PACE stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy.  This program encourages businesses and individuals to take action to make their business and homes much more energy efficient. One, if not the most impactful things that we can do as businesses and individuals, with long term environmental benefits is to reduce our energy use. There is an age old saying that has never been more true- Reduce Before You Produce!  Minimize your energy use before setting up for solar or wind generated power. Then Right Size your renewables for the reduced energy needed. PACE programs are designed to use business or infrastructure equity to finance an efficiency improvement. These are designed to be financed so the energy savings will more than pay for the monthly cost of the efficiency upgrade. In less than ten years (sometimes much less) the project will be paid for and the savings go straight to profit or to finance business growth!

Your access to Member Features is limited.

These PACE program are available most places in America on a city or state level. There are providers in place that will assist in the set up and coordinate financing. It is very easy to analyze your business and create a program that will provide long term benefits with a near term payout. Most time you will improve the comfort levels for staff and get better productivity!

Bill Gates opens his new book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster,” with this provocative thought: The world is emitting 51 billion tons of greenhouse gases annually; to avoid a climate disaster, we need to reduce that to zero. Most of the effort now is being used on renewable energy and this is a mistake. There is a well know saying regarding efficiency- Reduce Before Your Produce! Our global focus should be on minimizing energy demand. The PACE programs are focused on reducing energy consumption AND right sizing our renewables.

As a country and a planet, we should focus our energy on PACE programs. PACE can and should evolve into a permanent self-funding program to mitigate climate change issues. Businesses and individuals benefit with an efficiency upgrade, lower operating costs, and more comfortable environment and collectively we reduce the danger of a climate disaster. PACE yourself and your business!
