NYC Landlords React to Building Energy Efficiency Grades
Found this article on EE ratings on NY buildings. Question - does the Energy Star rating taking into effect the type of building - old vs new? What are utilities doing to help with some of the bad ratings? It sounds like "Starting in 2024, Local Law 97 — will subject owners to a fine of $268 per ton of greenhouse gas emissions above a certain limit." - curious if that money will go to help buildings fix their issue?
