What to do with complexity?

What to do with complexity?

I believe there is unanimity among those who work in the energy arena that the system is getting a lot more complex.

Until recently it was a system with a few large power plants centrally dispatched. In recent times distributed generation has emerged intensely.

The new challenge is to address the changes arising from this new environment in the power supply chain and especially to find the "optimum" by virtuously associating the technical, financial, legal and management issues involved.

The first step on the customer, corporate and institutional side is to become aware of the changes and new opportunities that arise. This will enable them to make well educated decisions to achieve and maintain their costs on a competitive level.
