Suggestion for buyers and sellers of energy

The pandemic brought a "systematic challenge": how to deal with the losses resulting from the volumes consumed below the contracted ones?

Following the wording of the contracts in place, each party must bear its risks. But, we are facing an unprecedented situation.

Waiting for the Brazilian Justice means many tens of months until a final decision. If the path is Arbitration it will be a few dozen months.

I propose to conduct a Mediation. I imagined bringing together the associations that represent buyers and sellers of energy to negotiate a solution. My experience since the beginning of the free markets in Brazil shows that this path should bring to the table more chances for a successful way out of this, current, deadlock.

It will be better for each party to negotiate a deal rather than wait a more harmful, exhausting and costly solution for everyone.
