NIST Workshop and Call for Papers on Cybersecurity Labeling Programs for Consumers: Internet of Things (IoT) Devices and Software
Many people are familiar with the monikers that communicate a clear and consistent message about a product or service, such as EnergyStar and the UL emblems that are proudly displayed on products. NIST has issued a call for papers to aid in the development of a similar labeling program/moniker that will immediately inform a consumer of the cybersecurity trustworthiness of a product through the display of this widely recognized emblem. I filed my comments on this topic with NIST yesterday.
