Next Generation of LPO Financing
LPO is excited to introduce the first installment of our "Next Generation of LPO Financing" illustrated poster series, highlighting the LPO technology sectors used in reporting our application activity every month (see: Energy.gov/LPO/MAAR).
Inspired by the iconic Works Progress Administration (WPA) posters of the late 1930’s and early 1940's, this LPO poster series is a visual representation of the unprecedented scale and potential impact of the suite of national clean energy investments resulting from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
America is doing big things again—deploying, scaling up, and building out the infrastructure needed for the clean energy transition while combatting climate change and creating good-paying jobs for Americans—and these posters help show us how it's happening: through a sweep of cutting-edge technology sectors that are poised to be catalyzed by BIL and IRA investments.
Each poster features a broad technology sector and spotlights some of the tech areas of particular market interest within that sector, drawing attention to the opportunities for—and challenges to—scaleup and full commercialization for each. Together, the posters provide an overview of the broad universe of clean energy and advanced transportation technologies that may be eligible for financing through LPO loan and loan guarantee programs.
You can find downloadable versions of each of the first three posters and more information about its corresponding sector at the following links:

Special thanks to david roberts and the Volts newsletter for featuring the new poster series installments as they're released: https://lnkd.in/gwuFcdFm. As a staff writer for Vox, David previously covered LPO's earlier poster series (https://lnkd.in/g6zQQXxQ) which was inspired by the innovative clean energy and advanced transportation projects LPO helped finance through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: https://lnkd.in/giUbV_7N
