What is the primary fuel warming each state and province?
This is a revealing new infographic produced by Cody Good, ENERGYminute’s Director of social media, showing the primary fuel warming each state and province across the United States and Canada. Natural gas is ‘King’ but ‘electricity’ has a large footprint too. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) recent Winter Fuels Outlook 2023-24, natural gas (46%) and electricity (41%) are expected to heat roughly 87% of all U.S. households this winter. The good news! EIA’s report projects lower heating costs primarily driven by lower natural gas prices. Winter is about to get interesting – stay warm!
