Loan Programs Office: March 2024 Monthly Application Activity Report

LPO's March 2024 application activity reporting is out and it shows steady interest in LPO clean energy, energy infrastructure reinvestment, advanced transportation, and tribal energy project financing programs with 203 active applications requesting a cumulative of over $262 billion in financing for proposed projects across the country: https://lnkd.in/gPG-v932

Even with the announcement in March of three projects (Viejas Microgrid: https://lnkd.in/ejUBqFiQ, Thacker Pass: https://lnkd.in/dH6GAhti, and Holtec Palisades: https://lnkd.in/g_g7HQM9) officially moving out of the application pipeline and into conditional commitment, new applications have more than offset those in the cumulative requested financing for active applications, showing continued interest in the type of private sector-led, government-enabled financing that LPO programs offer.

A reminder that you can always access the most recent monthly report at Energy.gov/LPO/MAAR to get a better understanding of current applicant interest in all of LPO's financing programs. The monthly report breaks down applications across 14 tech sectors and proposed project sites across eight geographic regions, and the MAAR page also lists examples of what types of technology areas of interest are included within each of the tech sectors used for the report, as well as the current estimated remaining loan authority for each LPO financing program.
