While not policy yet, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy released a report on modifying sunlight. Both major projects involve clouds.
"According to the report titled "Congressionally-Mandated Report on Solar Radiation Modification," the types of geoengineering methods the Biden administration is looking into are "stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) and marine cloud brightening." Additionally, the paper mentions there is research in "cirrus cloud thinning."
This brings me back to the 1970s reports calling for dumping thousands of tons of pulverized coal in the arctic to reduce global cooling.
The ICCP has admitted many times that they can NOT get cloud modeling right to model its impacts on climate change.
Not sure if this idea is a good one or not.
There is also an idea, though not in this report of putting "sunglasses" is space and reducing solar irradiation in space between the earth and the sun.
Not sure about this idea either.
