FERC Requests Comments on Grid Cybersecurity Initiatives | Inside Energy & Environment
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) recently signaled that it is exploring ways to improve the cybersecurity of the U.S. electricity grid. On
Today, Reliable Energy Analytics filed comments to FERC on the Cybersecurity Notice of Inquiry, recently issued: https://elibrary.ferc.gov/idmws/common/opennat.asp?fileID=15599285
The need to protect the electric grid from bad actors is reaching a higher level of consciousness. Proper vigilance through continuous monitoring for vulnerabilities and risks is needed as an early warning system. We all depend on reliable electricity supply, which is a key building block for our standard of living, health and happiness. I encourage anyone with an interest in keeping the grid safe from bad actors to file comments on FERC docket RM20-12-000
I hope you will join us on 8/12 for a PowerSession discussing best practices for software supply chain risk assessments in the Bulk Electric System, following the NIST Cybersecurity Framework best practices: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/4446938902621840656?source=FEL
