Monitoring and targeting is routine analysis of energy consumption, usually undertaken to detect and diagnose the hidden avoidable energy waste which occurs randomly in any enterprise because of unexpected faults, maloperation, maintenance errors and the like. It is something that every diligent energy manager should be doing and something that I've been training people on and supporting them with for many years.
