Energy: creative countries

American electricity concessionaires for whom I consulted, positively surprised me!

They re-invented themselves. They created very successful programs.

Demand response and enabling very creative projects, to give two examples. One of these concessionaires built a power plant to generate electricity using natural gas from used aircraft turbines.

They took advantage of the exhaust from the turbine to produce steam. which was sold to a food company. An incredible project, which brought together the technical efficiency of cogeneration with investments well below the traditional reference, as it started with used equipment but in excellent condition.

Demand response programs were implemented with strong involvement from the utility's C level and its residential, business and institutional customers.

We - here in Brazil - urgently need to learn from those who make exceptional results happen!
