** Some recommended LPO weekend listening: Curious about LPO's new Energy Infrastructure Reinvestment (EIR) loan guarantee program that was created by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)?

In this episode of Edison Electric Institute (EEI)'s Electric Perspectives podcast, LPO Director Jigar Shah and EEI Executive Vice President and General Counsel Emily Sanford Fisher take a close look at the EIR, a new program designed to leverage existing American energy assets and infrastructure. Specifically, the EIR can guarantee loans to projects that retool, repower, repurpose, or replace energy infrastructure that has ceased operations, or enable operating energy infrastructure to avoid, reduce, utilize, or sequester air pollutants or anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases.
