Con Edison released this statement in response to President Biden’s Executive Order setting a goal of making half of all new vehicles sold in 2030 zero-emissions vehicles.

“We believe electric vehicles will play a vital role in a clean energy future and support President Biden’s goal of dramatically increasing adoption. As part of PowerReady - the second most aggressive program of its kind in the country - we offer incentives for the installation of level 2 and direct current fast chargers.

“Con Edison also is providing financial incentives to EV drivers to charge during off-peak hours. Further, Con Edison is experimenting with business models and technologies to make it more attractive and convenient for drivers to choose EVs. We have begun using current from batteries on electric school buses in White Plains to feed our grid and working with the City of New York to place 100 publicly available chargers in the five boroughs.

Eclectic utilities should take a few bows here. It's about 50 cents of electricity vs a $3 or more gallon of gas. The

The utility makes and delivers the power to all the charging in your area. The charging companies like Tesla Super chargers , Blink, Charge point, EVGO, Electrify America. It's really the power of the utilities. Great job at most utilities.
