In the most recently released "China’s 14th Five-Year Plan" (the Plan), covering the years 2021-2025, one welcome highlight is its focus on decarbonization and energy efficiency. The Plan outlines a trajectory, which aims to ensure carbon dioxide output peaks before 2030 and reaches its net-zero target by 2060.
