Captured CO2 involves a significant technological investment and is being seen as more than just a means by which to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere and from fossil-fuel-powered industries and utilities. The technology is not cheap but the ability to utilize the captured CO2 to produce high-value products is seen as a US $1 trillion industry in the near future.
