Brazil: Let the regulation change!

Brazil: Let the regulation change!

Essentially, the established regulatory model has been the same for many decades.

The regulator defines everything thoroughly. Any utility initiative that results in additional gains is discounted from the next tariff review.

So there is no motivation to innovate. For what?

It's high time to turn around this awful situation. Make the opposite possible. Encourage utility companies to seek value-for-money solutions for their customers.

The existing justifications that underlie the current regulation are more than outdated. It is time for a change for the simple fact that opening to a win-win format will potentially achieve and maintain a much better level for all parties involved.
