Biden administration kicks off 100-day plan to shore up cybersecurity of electric grid
The Biden administration on Tuesday announced it was kicking off a 100-day plan aimed at protecting the electric grid against cyberattacks.
As part of the plan, the Energy Department’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response (CESER) will work to advance technologies to further protect the grid, and is putting out a request for information (RFI) to enable the electricity sector to provide input on future recommendations for supply chain security.
Congratulations to the DOE, NSC and CISA teams for moving us along on the path toward stronger cybersecurity protections for the Electric Grid. Congratulations and Thanks to Cheri Caddy, DOE CESER program manager for her role in this important initiative.
NOTE: DOE has also published an RFI and additional information on the 100-day sprint.
