24 Hours of Reality: China's Wind Quest [VIDEO]

For those of you who are not aware, Former United States Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore is the Founder and Chairman of The Climate Reality ProjectIts aim is to bring millions of people together, so with one collective voice they can demand change from global leaders and force them to help shape the clean-energy future.

From The Climate Reality Project, the 24 Hours of Reality was recently launched. This initiative explores 24 reasons to be hopeful about our future. In hour 20, the project explores China’s expansion of wind power, specifically the Longyuan Wind Farm in Jiangsu Province.

The video takes a close look at the country’s pursuit of greener energy sources and what political, societal and environmental pressures are driving the pursuit. Perspectives from people working in and around China’s wind industry give a rare look into what is motivating China to change the way it does business and re-examine how it delivers power to the world’s most populous country.
