India has seventy years old history of harnessing wind. All started in fifties but the popularity came in only from last three decades.The country has huge potential to replace its energy need from fossil fuel based generation system to wind,solar and other renewable based system and already have initiated steps to do that.At this juncture it is worthwhile to know the root of wind energy in India.
