Qcells investing US$2.5 billion to establish US ingot, wafer, cell and module supply chain
The largest investment in U.S. solar history!
A global leader in clean energy solutions, Qcells North America, today (Jan 11) announced it will invest more than $2.5 billion to build a complete solar supply chain in the United States. The company’s investments will create nearly 2,500 direct jobs in Georgia. The announcement marks the largest investment in the history of American solar and sets Qcells up as the only company in the U.S. to establish a fully-integrated, silicon-based solar supply chain from raw material to finished panel. The investment is expected to bring Qcells’ total solar panel production capacity in Georgia to 8.4 gigawatts by 2024.
